I am a research associate at the Institute for Global Health Equity and Innovation (IGHEI) and a Health Organization and Management PhD candidate at the Institute of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation (IHPME) both at the University of Toronto. I also hold an M.Sc. in eHealth, an MBA, and a B.Eng. in Software Engineering.
My research interests include social innovation and entrepreneurship, global health equity, and migration. I am also interested in new and cutting edge analytic tools such as machine learning, big data, system dynamic modeling and social network analysis for health.
Background and Interests
I am from Iran/Azerbaijan. My hometown, Artawil , is an ancient, cold and mountainous city, in the hillside of the mountain Savalan, northwest of Iran.
In my leisure time, I watch movies, read books, and sometimes take my Nikon D7000 and go for photo shooting. Learning new languages is another hobby I have. I already speak three languages (English, Farsi, and Azerbaijani) and my Arabic is intermediate. A while ago I started to teach myself a new sexy language: Español! So far, me gusta mucho!
